# Creating an Anycase.ai account

## Instructions

1. Visit <https://anycase.ai> and click on "Get started for free" button (or go directly to the [sign-in page](https://app.anycase.ai/signin)).<br>
2. Choose between creating an account with your email address or an existing Google account. We recommend the latter so you won't have to create a separate password.<br>
3. Answer the user information form to help us get to know you and your goals. You'll only have to do this once.<br>
4. And you're in!

By default, all new accounts enter a 2-week free trial to give you a chance to assess if the platform is useful to you and your work.

# Using the Semantic Search Engine

Search by meaning, not just keywords.

Anycase.ai's search engine is a core feature of the app. Using cutting-edge *semantic* search technology, it helps you find the legal references more accurately and faster than alternative tools.

## What is Semantic Search?

> Semantic search denotes search with meaning, as distinguished from lexical search where the search engine looks for literal matches of the query words or variants of them, without understanding the overall meaning of the query. \[[Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semantic_search)]

You can search by G.R. nos. or the title of the law or jurisprudence you're looking for. Let's use the Grace Poe v Comelec case, G.R. no. 221687 as an example:

### 2. Search by keywords and phrases

You can search by legal keywords and phrases. Let's use Res judicata as an example:

### 3. Search by case descriptions and outcomes

Your search can be more complex because of the semantic search engine. You could simply describe what you're looking for, even case outcomes. Let's use this long description as an example:

# Using AI Answers

AI Answers is Anycase.ai's generative AI (gen AI) feature. It's a core feature of the app that allows the user to ask legal questions, then get answers in seconds, complete with citations.

2. Click "Get Answers" or "Try Intelligence Boost" to get a definition, analysis, and legal references related to the term

## Anycase.ai cites its sources

A very important component of AI Answers is its ability to cite legal references or sources when crafting its output.

AI Answers makes use of the same search results yielded by the semantic search engine.

You'll notice citations links included throughout AI Answers:

## The Legal Library

One way to understand the Anycase.ai platform and how it works is to think of advanced AI capabilities (semantic search, generative AI) being layered on top of authoritative legal references.

In Anycase.ai's Legal Library, currently, are digital copies of Laws and Jurisprudence. We are working on adding other kinds of legal references and documents to the platform. Stay tuned.

### How often are new Laws and Jurisprudence added to the library?

We currently update the library every 1-2 months, but we aim to support (almost) real-time updates of the Legal Library in 2024.

## Reader View

The Anycase.ai app has a native document reader we aptly call Reader. This allows user to read through the full-text of Laws, Jurisprudence and other legal references on the library.

### Yearly v. Monthly Options

Anycase.ai currently offers two Payment Frequency options, monthly and yearly.&#x20;

Should you choose to pay monthly, our Pro Subscription costs Php 999 per month. But, we offer a discounted price of Php 699 per month (30% discount) if you opt to pay yearly, for a total amount of Php 8388.

By paying once a year, you’ll enjoy a simplified and reduced monthly rate compared to monthly billing.

### Subscription v. One-time Options

We currently offer two options for Payment Cycle, one-time payment and subscription.&#x20;

If you choose the one-time payment, you will have full access to Anycase.ai Pro Subscription without recurring monthly charges. This means that after the Billing Cycle, your Pro Subscription will automatically be deactivated and have to be renewed manually.

On the other hand, if you choose the subscription option, your Pro Subscription will be automatically renewed. We recommend choosing this option to ensure uninterrupted service, since payments are automatically processed at the end of each Billing Cycle.&#x20;

### Partner Payment Processor

We partnered with Xendit for seamless and secure payment processing.&#x20;

## Making Changes to your Account&#x20;

Should you need to make updates or modifications to your account (change of name, email address, password, etc.), you may simply send an email or message to our support team at <support@anycase.ai>

Our support team will make every effort to immediately address all account-related issues as quickly as possible.

We plan to make these settings available on the platform soon!

### Canceling your Account

If you choose to make a one-time payment, your account will be automatically canceled at the end of the Billing Cycle.

However, if you chose the subscription option, you will need to send an email or message to our support team at <support@anycase.ai> and we will process the cancellation right away. <br>
